Meet Amanda

After graduating from from Texas A&M in Wildlife and Fisheries sciences, Amanda Albert studied wildlife and habitat preservation in various regions of the country.

An interest to use her life to serve others led her to what would become a 14 year building and supervising career with Habitat for Humanity in North Carolina.

As she began to understand the detrimental effects of conventional building techniques, Amanda sought out opportunities to learn safer and gentler ways to inhabit the Earth.

Increasingly, Amanda began to practice better energy efficiency and eco-friendly building techniques.

Upon completing the Natural Building Certification course through Yestermorrow Design/Build School and earning a Permaculture Design Certification, she created Inhabit Living Solutions, LLC. Her goal is to creatively pursue the production of living, interactive, and lasting structures and spaces; and empower others by encouraging hands on work. She also partners with the organization Community Rebuilds in Utah to help build sustainable, straw bale homes for low-income families.

She now serves clients with a small team on everything from initial design consultations and sourcing materials to renovating existing structures and complete rebuilds.

Hobbies: Hiking, biking, swimming, reading, creating art, and drinking tea.
